I remembered what I named it.....The Balizuma!!!!

Right, so here is my creature. I've been working on him for about a week, and last night I didn't sleep. lol. I would like to thank Kinko's for being awesome and open at 4:30 in the morning, and also, the crazy kid who stayed up late and accompanied me. Lol : )

Animation Pre-Production

Whew!!! This is a culmination of everything that I have done in my pre-production class aside from my script and storyboards. I've really been working hard and I think the payoff is well worth it. What I've put here are my character designs with different emotion, as well as scale reference and color tests. I also have designs for a few key props and the 3 layouts for this little world. There is a possibility of one more scene layout coming, so check back in a week or so to see!

And fish...again.....

So, here I am thinking I never want to look at another fish ever again after last spring, when my next 3D modeling project is a NURBS fish. I figure it must be my destiny to make fishy things. lol. Well, after much texturing frustration, here he is.

Various things

Here are my new sketches from my weekend at my friend's bay house. As you can tell, there were some ocean-like things on my mind. Maybe I'll color some of them later.

Really old stuff

Hahaha! I found this while cleaning my room. It's a little something I made 1st semester of my senior year of high school in my digital graphics class. We were supposed to make a "movie poster" So I decided to make one for this silly book I wrote back in junior high. It was quite a feat for so long ago....about 294 typed pages, I believe. That was back when I thought that I was going to be a writer for a living. lol

Characters

So here is my new goal this summer. I want to practice my character designing skills because, well, I have to if I ever want to get anywhere. I think that I'm going to use this guy as the character I will try to animate in Maya before I go back to RIT. If it turns out ok, I might even use him in my 1 quarter. We'll just have to see.

Summer

This is something pretty different from what I generally draw. It's inspired by a recent sunny vacation in Florida.

Completed Shiny Project....(I love saying that)

Shiny from gunslingers19 and Vimeo.
Here is my first full fledged little animation. Took me 6 weeks, about 700 drawings, over 70 hours of production and post, and it makes me so happy!

Shiny's 1st Completed Shot....minus sound :)

My 1st ever drawn/colored/composited shot!! from gunslingers19 and Vimeo.

Here's my first shot everyone! Yeah I know it's not fully completed until there is sound. But the hard part is over. Hope you like it.

Yay for Layouts!!

These are the 3 layouts that I will be animating my fish over. One of them is still missing it's shiny object because at the moment it is on a separate sheet of paper from the rest of the layout. It will get there eventually though. Now all I have to do is make filmstrips of my image sequences in After Effects and color them. One shot is done.....20 to go. lol.

Shiny Pencil Test

This is the pencil test for my final this quarter. I still have a whole lot of work to do: coloring and sound and special effects. But I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Visual Analogy

For this project, were supposed to bring in two objects and morph them into each other by finding their similiarities, and, of course, put them into a believable space. I think I may have invented a little more than necessary, though.

Yummy Fruit

And this is my first color project.

Well, hands are cool, right?

Symbolic portrait

Here is a portrait of me, without using my face.

Drawn Animation

Drawn Animation from gunslingers19 and Vimeo.

here's my first shot at traditional 2D animation. Hope you like it! It's my favorite so far.

Paint Animation

Paint Animation from gunslingers19 and Vimeo.

Ok, so it's not really paint. It's the aesthetic of editing a single image over and ever again every frame.

Whip

Whip from gunslingers19 and Vimeo.

Hehe, I like this little guy.

First entry

Alright folks, I decided to give this a try. Let's see how it goes!
